Quick Start Guide for G17 Glue
1. Preparation (Crucial Step)
• Clean the surfaces: Use 90% isopropyl alcohol to remove all old glue, dust, and oils from both the phone frame and the part you are attaching. If the surface isn’t clean, the glue will eventually peel.
• Dry Fit: Always place the screen or back cover on the phone before applying glue to ensure it sits flush.
2. Application
• Apply a Thin Bead: Use the precision tip to apply a very thin, continuous bead of glue along the perimeter of the frame.
• Wait for “Tack”: Do not press the parts together immediately. Wait 2–5 minutes for the glue to become slightly tacky. This prevents the glue from oozing into the internal components (like the camera or backlight).
3. Bonding and Curing
• Press Firmly: Align the parts and press them together.
• Clamp It: Use small spring clamps or rubber bands to hold the phone together.
• Cure Time: While it sets in about 10–20 minutes, it takes 24 hours to reach full strength. Leave the clamps on for at least an hour.
